About Geeta Lal Sahai

Geeta Lal Sahai is an author, journalist, editor, and mental health advocate with over three decades of experience in storytelling across print, radio, film, and books. Her work explores the resilience of the human spirit, relationships, caregiving, trauma, memory, and hope.

She is the author of The Silent Symphony: Echoes of Love in the Shadow of Fading Memory, Stories We Do Not Tell: Silence, Stigma, and Mental Health, When Goodbye Begins, Once Is Not Enough, and Beyond Music: Maestros in Conversation. Through both fiction and nonfiction, she brings compassion and authenticity to complex emotional journeys.

Geeta is the founder of Swayam Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to mental health awareness, suicide prevention, caregiver support, and emotional well-being. She is also the host of the podcast Zindagi Matters, where she shares conversations that challenge stigma and celebrate resilience.

When she is not writing or editing books, she mentors aspiring authors and helps individuals transform their lived experiences into stories that inform, inspire, and heal.
